There are several factors that generally determine the cost of a technical or medical translation, such as the number of words, the language combination (English to Spanish, French to Spanish, French to English, etc.), volume of work, level of difficulty, source document quality, format and delays. This is the reason why we cannot give a fixed translation rate without analyzing your document first. For more information, Click Here.
At Adarve Translations, the main price determining factors will be the number of words in the source language; that is, the number of words in the language from which the document is translated, as well as the complexity of the document. The pricing of a medical or technical translation will be defined as cents per source word.
At Adarve Translations, interpreting price determining factors are the complexity of the subject matter (example: legal, medical, technical, financial, web, etc.), whether it is a common or rare language, the type of interpreting (simultaneous, consecutive, whispered, etc.), the interpreter needed (single or team) and the length of assignment. Interpreting jobs are charged by the hour, not by the number of words.
We offer two billing methods: In general, new clients are required to make a deposit of 50% of the total translation cost before such translation can be started. The remaining 50% will be paid upon completion of the translation. Established clients will make payments 15 - 30 days upon invoice.
Rush translations will be subject to a surcharge of 35% of the total cost of the translation. For more detailed information on our Billing Method and Rush Translations, Contact us.
